Camarin Caloocan Area- April 2018
This Month of April, we participated in our yearly Youth Camp in Laguna last 19 to 21 and were able to send 9 campers. Ian Bernabe 15yo is known as gay in the community. But during the youth camp, he understood that God did not create people as homosexuals. And the most memorable thing that happened to him is that, he accepted our Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior. And he was baptized as his first step in a new life with Christ. He also testified his personal encounter with God during the camp.
Marites Aquino a 14 yo also a camper and known as lesbian in our community. She also accepted our Lord Jesus Christ and was baptized. She is also an ALS student in our church. She is no-read-no-write because she never went to school. Right now, she is able to recognize the alphabet and numbers. She attends our service regularly.
Yuri Pano age 15, known as “knife boy” in the community. He always brings knife wherever he goes. Because he was being traumatized by the physical abuses of other people. He experienced violence and always beaten by others, so he promised to himself that he will fight back and ready to hurt others if it will happen again. But during the camp, he surrendered everything to God and was baptized. He promised not to bring knife anymore and forgave those who hurt him. Right now, he is actively attending the ministries in the community and willing to be trained and discipled. He also volunteered himself as caretaker of our church. Thanks to God.
Please pray the following:
1. Please help us to pray that our ALS will serve as an avenue of God’s salvation to every ALS student.
2. Please bear with us in prayer to be able to gather at least 10 families and 15 young people for our family day on may 20, 2018.
3. Please help us to pray to be able to gather at least 50 children from grade 1 to 6 for our DVBS on may 23 to 27, 2018.
