Halang Naic, Cavite Team – August 2018

Ministry Highlights

Last month, July 7, 2018, we distributed shoeboxes. As OCC Operation Christmas Child (OCC) ministry continues, the Word of our God is being preached to the children from ages 10 to 14 through TGJ The Greatest Journey (TGJ) lessons every Sunday after Praise and Worship, we gather these kids.

TGJ is a 12-lesson program having 3 Parts.
1. Ang Dakilang Maylikha
2. Ang Dakilang Regalo
3. Ang Dakilang Pagsunod

Ptra. Kate and Ptra. Berna were the teachers of TGJ. We will be having a Graduation – Day of Recognizing and Appreciating the TGJ Kids attendees, and this will be the last part of TGJ Program.

This August we have started our Discipleship Training Program and we named it “Christian Living”. This is our first step in educating the church members on how to live a Christian Life (as Followers of Christ).

Christian Living is composed of 6 Lessons as follows.
1. Ang Biblia
2. Ang kaligtasan
3. Baustismo
4. Ang Simbahan
5. Banal na Hapunan
6. Ang Pagkakaloob

This will serve as their guide as they “Go” in sharing God’s Word to the community. Currently,
we have 25 Disciples.

Last August, the mother of our youth member (James) was died after a week of being sick and in pain. Their family wasn’t able to send her to the hospital because they don’t have money to pay bills. James’ mother is the bread winner of the family, their father already left them.

Due to the severe headache and uneasy feeling, Regie (mother of James) died, they rushed her to the hospital but it was too late to save her life. She died due to rabies. Regie is 40-year old woman who was bitten by a dog when she was only 16 years old. Because of poverty, she was not able to have an Anti-rabies vaccine.

Cremation was advised by the doctors because of the virus that may cause harm, with the help of our CWTP leader, Atty. Raineer Chu and his friend, the owner of Sanctuarium (one of the biggest cremation center in Araneta Quezon City), the cadaver was cremated and it’s for free. Mostly, cremation costs about P 100,000 to P 200,000. We thank God for His goodness and love for the poor.

• CL1 (Christian Living Level 1), May the students continue to attend and finish the program and they were then able to use it in God’s Ministries.
• Prayer for our TEAM. May the LOVE, UNITY, RESPECT and CARE for each other will always be present. Please pray or our safety and health too.
• Prayer for the Upcoming Graduation of the 22 TGJ Students. May well be able to prepare Food, Awards and tokens like Hygiene Kit for these kids.
