Leonar, Jearson and MaryJane
As a child, my family taught me a lot of good things and helped build in me good character. However, they taught me that doing kindness to others was the way to be saved, instead of faith in Jesus Christ.
In 1984 I met Pastor Roberto de Ocampo. He was conducting a Bible study in our house with my eldest sister, and my sister invited me to join them. Pastor Roberto taught us about the Lord Jesus Christ, which really penetrated my heart, eventually leading me to receive Him as my Lord and Savior.
From the time I met the Lord Jesus Christ my life was completely changed. I began to serve God and work as a minister in the church, where I learned how to be patient and how to sacrifice with acts of love. God gave me a life verse from Exodus 3 that speaks about the calling of Moses in the burning bush, where Moses responded to God by saying “Here I am”. I knew I too was being called by God, so in 2000, I responded by giving my life to God in a full-time service.
In 2004 I was recommended by Pastor Boy to enroll in the Pastor Institute Training Program and by the grace of God I finished this course. After this, I was assigned in WWCF Gumaca as an Assistant Pastor and I was really blessed by God in every aspect of my life. Today, I look forward to joining with Companion With the Poor to continue carrying out my calling and service for the Lord.
