Ministry Highlights

Our plan in the next six months is to train leaders.  We have ongoing training of five adults and five youths. We are praying for their spiritual growth and commitment.  One of the issues we encounter is the commitment of the potential leaders we are training.  Their struggle is always how to survive in their daily needs. An example is Che che, the wife of our partner pastor, who is willing to serve the Lord in the ministry but every time there is an opportunity to join the catering services, she will prioritize such income generating activities for her family.  Despite these odds, Pastor Zaldy remains hopeful that the Lord will provide for their needs.

In line with our plan to train leaders for the church, we had water baptism last September 23 at Anessa Resort, Montalban, Rizal. There were six youths and one adult decided to be baptized in water.  We were thankful for their lives and commitment to serve the Lord.

It’s been two Sundays since Pastor Zaldy started training the youth on how to conduct house-to-house evangelism in the community. Along with this is youth prayer meeting every Wednesday evening. Praise God for the lives of these youths, two of them are now teaching in the feeding program for children every Saturday morning.

We have ten children attending our tutorial class.  Teacher Ella is our volunteer teacher for the preschooler.  Supposedly, it’s preschool but because the church has no accreditation yet, so we simply run it as tutorial.  Most of the children are from poor families, they cannot even pay for their monthly contribution, however, the church continues in helping the children and bridging their parents to the church through the preschool program.

Average of 9- children is being fed every Saturday morning in our feeding program.  Our partner, Project Matthew, prepares and delivers food for children Saturday in the morning.  The children come and receive their food after they have attended in Saturday School class where they learn about Jesus and His love for them.

Currently we have four regular Bible study groups.

Prayer Concerns

1. Committed church leaders
2. God’s provision for the team and church partner
3. Financial provision for the next youth retreat on Oct. 28, 2017 at the Garden of Gethsemane, Prayer Mountain
