Sta. Isabel, Cavite Team -November 2017
MOA/Partnership Agreement Signing. Last November 5, the team together with Ptr. Ramon Padilla, South Field Director, Rev. Winston Pinzon, CWTP Executive Director, Ptr. Ely Cotañas, CWTP Executive Committee Secretary, joined and witnessed the signing of Memorandum Of Agreement (MOA) between the mother church of Jesus Intercessors Baptist Church (JIBC) in Imus, Cavite and Companion With The Poor (CWTP). JIBC – Imus is led by Rev. Ramon Advincula and Ptr. Leo Real is our partner pastor in the ministry area. Praise God! After the MOA signing we have lunch fellowship with the leaders of JIBC partner church. Lastly was the community visit at Pugad Ibon by the team together with some of the CWTP leaders and partner workers from JIBC – Imus, Ptr. Leo Real and Ptra. Roma Cabo. Thank God for the partnership of JIBC in ministering among the urban poor.
Visit at Ministry Area. The team met at the JIBC daughter church in Kalayaan Village, Kawit, Cavite last November 9 with the local partner, Ptra. Roma Cabo, and talked about the schedule of our ministry area days; when do we start the survey in the community and where do we meet and stay every time we go to the ministry area. Since Sis. Queenie and Sis. Oseth both live in Montalban, Rizal, they need a place to stay during ministry area days in Kawit, Cavite. Thank God for the partner offered their daughter church to warmly accommodate our teammates and allowed them to sleepover at the church every Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
Community Survey. From November 16 to 17, the team and Ptr. Leo Real together with eleven volunteers from JIBC conducted a community survey in Pugad Ibon, Sta. Isabel, Kawit, Cavite. Praise God! In two days we finished the survey in the community and the JIBC volunteers enjoyed doing it. After finishing the survey, we had a little bit of sharing time about their experiences while surveying the community. Some shared that they thank God for blessing them to live in decent communities or houses, definitely with better living conditions compared to the community of Pugad Ibon. They even realized that the place of the squatters or urban poor was not scary to visit at all; the people in the community were very welcoming and accommodating. We also shared about the hungriness of the people to the Word and love of our God.
1. God’s provision for the team — financial, good health, strength, and journeying to plant a new church in Pugad Ibon Sta. Isabel, Kawit, Cavite for two years of partnership with JIBC
2. For the people in the community area to be open with the Word of God
3. For wisdom, guidance of the Holy Spirit, and the will of God in our strategic planning this coming December; a one to two years planning for the Glory of our God
