Ministry Highlights

Strategic Planning. A very significant part to start the ministry is the strategic plan. It gives a clear picture of current situation and direction to the team where and how to go to our destination. In the process we identified our strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats that reminded us to be humble and dependent to the Holy Spirit. Our vision is “a sustainable church that glorifies God and makes disciples”. Concrete vision and mission statements are vital considering the presence of Muslim residents in the ministry area. It is challenging for the team to reach out the leaders of fourteen (14) Home Owners Associations (HOA) in Purok 5. We were blessed because Pastor Onie Avante, National Director of Christ Jesus Our Life (CJOL), and Pastor Larry Tomines, South Area Director of CJOL, participated in our strategic planning. We are grateful for both of them are with us at the ministry area once a week to minister to the team and the poor.

Meeting with the HOA Leaders. We were grateful to meet the respected leaders of AL-RICH VILLE Home Owners Association. They were Alma, the wife of the HOA President, and Elvie, the Vice President. They have been very accommodating, friendly and reliable leaders. They allowed us to use their multi-purpose hall for team meetings and other future events. In the photo, you will see in our back a 300sqm vacant lot for sale, Php150,000.00 every 50sqm. Our team is now praying to acquire that lot for the church building. The lot owner is the HOA President. By the way, Ryan Martens (in green) visited us to see if the area is possible for their Muslim ministry.

Gift Giving. There were one hundred (100) families who received a gift pack from the anonymous donors. They were contacts of Pastor Onie Avante. The recipients were selected residents from three (3) different HOA who were at the same time respondents during the community survey. They also gave another one hundred (100) gift packs for the CJOL church at Arinai, Taytay. One of the churches planted in partnership of CWTP and CJOL back in 2008. Aside from giving gifts, our goal was to introduce to the people who we are and what we do in their community.

Key Objectives Next Month
 To follow up contacts for possible Bible study group, projecting 5 groups starting January 2018.
