Taguig Team- October 2017

Volunteer interviewed the junk shop worker.

Signing of Partnership Agreement.

The Lord is great! The forth partnership with Christ Jesus Our Life (CJOL) to work and serve together to plant church in Napindan Purok 5, Taguig City. Since 2007, CJOL was working hand-in-hand with CWTP to minister to the poorest of the poor community. The vision of CJOL is also planting churches nationwide. Pastora Hosanna Pabalan, the partner pastor, married, from Pangasinan but lives at Pasig with their children. Pastor Onie Avante spoke about urban poor church planting and encouraged the congregation to pray and support the missionaries and their new church. He also challenged the church leaders and members to go to the slum and help the team to evangelize the poor (materially and spiritually poor). The congregation prayed for the team and gave us seed money for our transportation. Pastor Ramon Padilla, CWTP South Field Director, led the presentation about the ministry of CWTP.

Community Survey.

The team had the chance to talk with Mr. Benjamin Natividad, President of C-6 Ville Association. We introduced ourselves as Christian missionaries and presented our mission in their community. The President was hesitant at first because we are strangers but when he heard that we are God’s servants suddenly he shared about his life many years ago as military teacher of Christian values but now he is a Muslim and married to a Muslim. Before we leave his house, we entrusted him to the Lord. President Natividad approved our intension to conduct community survey within the C6 Ville.

We also met Ms. Winnie Escalera, President of AL-RICH Ville Association, Inc.. The community is beside C6 Ville. He also permitted us to conduct community survey. AL-RICH leaders and residents are very cooperative in helping us to call the attention of their neighborhood to be interviewed. Some of them just went to the multi-purpose office to be
interviewed because of the ongoing filling of construction debris in the road. Residents call it “free hauling”. For our team, the friendly welcome of the people signified the presence of God in the area. God is already there even before we arrived.
We were able to interview the 10% requirements for community survey (C6 Ville and AL-Rich Ville combined). We were thankful also to all volunteers who helped us accomplish the survey. One of them was Junjun Bigay, son of Sis. Marivic and scholar of CWTP. Pastor Larry Timones, CJOL South Leader also joined us.
